Chapter Philanthropy

Sigma Serves Children

"Broken Sparrow Children's Home is a family-centered home for medically fragile and/or disabled infants and children. This family centered home environment promotes a child’s optimal physical, mental, social, and spiritual growth and recovery."

In keeping with our national philanthropy, our chapter seeks to promote the well being of hospitalized and terminally ill children. We could not think of a better organization to give our time and money to than the Broken Sparrow Children's Home.

After the national partnership with March of Dimes we have made it our goal to incorporate ways to help the cause locally. We volunteer at events such as the Nurse of the Year Gala, High Heels for High Hopes, and the Chef's Auction. In the past we have also donated items for their Rural Backpack Project which supplies new moms with backpacks full of what they need. One of our favorite projects has been making quilts to donate to neonatal intensive care unites.

Though these efforts are at the heart of our organization our members are encouraged to volunteer where ever and how ever they are passionate.
