Broken Sparrow

Sigma Serves Children is the philanthropic initiative to benefit children's health. In line with this initiative, our local philanthropic partner is the Broken Sparrow Children's Home.

"Broken Sparrow Children's Home is a family-centered home for medically fragile and/or disabled infants and children. This family-centered home environment promotes a child’s optimal physical, mental, social, and spiritual growth and recovery."

Several times per semester, we visit the children at Broken Sparrow and engage in fun seasonal activities like pumpkin painting, Valentine's Day cards, and easter egg hunts.

In addition, every fall we hold our annual male pageant contest, Mr. UAA, to raise money for Broken Sparrow Children's Home.

Mr. UAA 2017

The money we raise from Mr. UAA helps Broken Sparrow pay for fun items for the children, such as the play set featured below. Next semester our goal is to raise money to repair and expand their swing set.

March of Dimes

The Tri Sigma Foundation partnered with the March of Dimes in 2016. The history of the Tri Sigma Foundation is deeply rooted in helping children. It only made sense for the foundation to partner with the March of Dimes, so we can work together towards a common goal. Our local chapter conducts tabling events for the March of Dimes during Prematurity Awareness Month. The videos below further describe the Tri Sigma Foundation's relationships with our philanthropic partners.
